本课时是这个unit的第三课时课时，语用任务是用名词词组，动词词组和一般现在时态来描述节日中人们吃的食物和参加的活动，并与他人分享自己最喜欢的节日。为后面的课时中相互讨论最喜欢的节日提供了语言基础。
在本课时中，通过谈论复活节的活动，帮助学生复习动词词组和一般现在时态，并以此导入本课主题“Halloween”，即万圣节。本课时新授语言知识点是用名词词组，动词动词组和一般现在时，来谈论万圣节的日期，特色，食物和活动。涉及到的新词有：jack-o’-lantern, pumpkin pies, pumpkin bread, ‘fancy-dress’ party, dress like monsters。学生通过视听感知，信息提炼，集体仿读，同伴对话，小组讨论，独立测试、合作交流等形式，进行语言的习得和运用。通过主体文本的学习，不仅能谈论万圣节的活动。而且通过mindmap训练了学生的逻辑思维能力，使学生能更好地理解和运用新的知识。在这种非常贴近学生生活的语境中，学生将旧知与新知融会贯通，也得到了愉悦的生活体验。
